the real pirates

a couple of days ago, a hoax of impressive proportions has been uncovered by the English classical music magazine Gramophone (The Joyce Hatto Scandal).

this comes also at the same time with the announcement that a Milli Vanilli movie is in the works. (i got the photo on the left from a website that showed how a milli vanilli cover would look like if the real guys were on it.. sooo unsexy...)

well, one cannot help but to ask who are the real pirates.

i am not necessarily advocating copyrighted downloads but i think that at some point we've crossed the line between artistic expression as part of the human culture /civilization, entertainment and business.

there is so much more i could write on this subject, but my work is calling me. more Creative commons, Sampling, The Free Software Foundation...
